Important info to know before filling out this application.  Please talk this over with your parent or guardian if you are under the age of 18.
Christian Youth In Action is a commitment.  You must be willing to commit to the following days/weeks:

May 12th: 9am-12pm: Parent/Student Info Meeting
May 19th: 9am-9pm: Pre-training (MANDATORY)
June 9th-16th: Overnight training school at CIU (MANDATORY)
June 18th-22nd: Observation week training (MANDATORY)

Then choose 3 out of the 4 weeks to work:
June 25th-29th
July 9th-13th
July 16th-20th
July 23rd-27th

Each morning you must provide your own transportation to the CEF office on 500 St. Andrews Road and be at the office by 8:20am.  You must also arrange your own transportation to be picked up at the CEF office each day by 5:00pm.
If you are planning on going on an evangelistic missions trip during any of the CEF club weeks, that mission trip can count towards one of your three required weeks.

If you have any time commitment issues, please talk to us before making any decisions.

Each day during club weeks, your schedule will look something like this:

8:20am: Arrive at CEF Office
8:30am: Devotions
9:15am: Leave for Club #1
10:00am: Club #1
11:15am: Head back to CEF Office for lunch (provided)
11:45am-12:15pm: Lunch
12:15pm: Leave for Club #2
1:00pm: Club #2
2:15pm: Leave for club #3
3:00pm: Club #3
4:15pm: Head back to CEF Office
4:30pm-5:00pm: Pick up at the CEF Office

Each team consists of 3-4 students, with one designated team leader (Leadership student).  Students who are older than 17 are asked if they would be willing to be drivers with parental permission, driving their own vehicles.  Drivers will be compensated for gas.
This is a very rewarding program, but it requires hard work!  Students must be willing to study and learn their lessons, stand up in front of children to teach and lead games, songs, etc., and be able to work well with others.

Once the application is completed, each student will be required to go through an interview process.  Students will receive a letter after April 15th to inform them whether or not they have been accepted into the program.

If you have any questions regarding the CYIA Program, please call our office: (803) 798-4405 and talk to Erin Hopkins.
