How God uses ordinary youth in extraordinary ways

What is
Christian Youth In Action?

Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) is a summer program for youth ages 14 through college age who love the Lord and enjoy working with children!  As a summer missionary, you would be trained at Columbia International University for one week during the month of June, followed by 3-5 weeks of ministry within the local community, conducting 5 Day Bible Clubs in day care centers, community centers, neighborhoods, churches, and parks.

You will learn how to share the Gospel with a child, and how to lead a child to Christ, as well as how to teach Bible Lessons, Missionary Stories, and Memory Verses to children!  You will have a blast as you get to know other youth within your community, so don't miss out on this awesome opportunity to serve as a summer missionary next summer!

CYIA Applications were due on April 1st - check back in November for a 2011 Application!!!

2010 Summer Update!!

For the summer of 2010, we have accepted 27 high school and college students to participate in the Christian Youth In Action program!!

On May 15th, each of these students participated in an extensive day of training as they learned how the share the Gospel with a child, and the importance of reaching children in their local community.

From June 12th-19th, we will take these students to Columbia International University (CIU) for in-depth training on how to teach a Bible Lesson, how to teach a memory verse, how to teach effective Gospel songs, and much more!  They will gather with 100 other students from around South Carolina as they train and learn how to be summer missionaries.

Following training, these students will be teaching 5 Day Bible Clubs in over 80 different day cares, community centers, neighborhood homes, and churches for 5 weeks, teaching 3 Bible clubs per day in various locations.

Please pray for these students as they attend training, and as they go out into their community to share the Gospel with children throughout the summer!
