What
is Christian Youth In Action?
Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) is a summer
program for youth ages 14 through college age who love the Lord and enjoy working with children! As a summer missionary,
you would be trained at Columbia International University for one week during the month of June, followed by 3-5 weeks of
ministry within the local community, conducting 5 Day Bible Clubs in day care centers, community centers, neighborhoods,
churches, and parks.
You will learn how to share the Gospel with a
child, and how to lead a child to Christ, as well as how to teach Bible Lessons, Missionary Stories, and Memory Verses to
children! You will have a blast as you get to know other youth within your community, so don't miss out on this awesome
opportunity to serve as a summer missionary next summer!

2011 Summer Update!!
For the summer of 2011, we have accepted 25 high
school and college students to participate in the Christian Youth In Action program!! These students were used by the Lord to reach over 2,100 children in the Midlands, with 265 children
who prayed to receive Christ!! After 3 pre-training sessions in May and a full week of Training School at Columbia International
University in June (where the students learned how to teach an effective Bible lesson, memory verse, learned leadership skills,
etc.), each of these students came into the CEF Office each morning at 8:30am for devotions followed by conducting Bible clubs
in the community at 10am, 1pm, and 3pm each day. We were in 85 different locations this summer, including day cares,
community centers, parks, neighborhood homes, apartment complexes, churches, YMCA's, and even trailer parks.
Each of these students worked 4-5 weeks in the community conducting clubs each day, and shared the Gospel with children
in their own hometown. In addition to sharing the Gospel in the Midlands, we had two students participate in an overseas
mission trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands with CEF for a week in July, ministering to over 130 children each day.
We also had three students use their CEF training in Wales, UK on their church mission trip. Other students were also
able to use their training in their church VBS programs and church outreach opportunities.
Continue to be
in prayer for each of these students as the Lord works through their lives, enabling them to reach others with the Gospel,
now that they have the knowledge, skills, and experience to do so! Also be in prayer for the children who were reached
this summer!
