At the CEF Office. "Teaching Children Effectively" (TCE) is an
accredited course (30 hours) that includes classes such as How to Lead a Child to Christ, Bible Lesson
Preparation and Presentation, Reaching the Child in the Neighborhood, Counseling, Encouraging the Saved Child, and MUCH
more!! The cost is $150 which includes 6 class sessions, workbook, and teaching materials.
For a detailed description, visit the CEF National TCE Website (Click Here). Class dates are: August 17th, 18th, 31st, Sept. 1st, 14th, and 15th (3 weekends). Please register
for the course before August 1st by calling our office: (803) 798-4405 or e-mail

This site has a number of games for children. You can choose from circle
games, dramatic games, quick and easy games, etc. Some of the games require a lot of movement or an outdoor setting
and might not be appropriate for your club time. Some of these games can be adapted to become Review Games by simply
adding questions from the Bible Lesson while you play the game.

Most of the time you will not have time to incorporate crafts into your club
time, but if you ever decide to do a party club or simply want to change things up a bit, this is one site you can use with
some quick and easy crafts.

If you go to this website, look to the right-hand column under "Memory
Verses." You will see a link for "Memory Verse Games" and one for "Review Games." These
are good resources to use when you are searching for some new game ideas for the Memory Verse.

Here are some visuals to use when explaining the rules
for Good News Club. You can print these out and place them in sheet protectors in a binder, and show them each week
at club to go over the rules.

This website can help with music in the club!! Simply
click on a letter to find a word (such as "Jesus") and the video shows how to say that word in sign language.
You can use these signs in your songs (don't do a sign for every word - but choose a few!). Children love using
hand-motions while singing. You can even use some of these signs when teaching memory verses!

This is a sample of a Bible Lesson being taught.
The lesson here is of Elijah, but the application points, Gospel presentation, and invitation will be similar in each of the
Bible Lessons. Watch this sample, and listen to how the lesson is structured, and especially how the invitation is given.
This is how you should teach each of your lessons as far as the content goes.

This is
a "fill in the blank" schedule for your Good News Club. We do NOT recommend you using the schedule in the
Lesson Book: use this one instead, and fill in the teachers names and the activity, handing out a copy to everyone involved
in the club. The key is to not have any lag time in between activities, so be sure each teacher knows when their segment
is coming up so they can already be walking up to the front, prepared to teach. The more lag time you have in between
activities, the more rowdy the kids will become.
