A Good News Club is
a one hour-one day a week Bible club for children ages five to twelve. During the club, children enjoy singing songs
and listening to exciting Bible stories. They play games that help them learn memory verses and review
what they learned during the story. Good News Clubs are held in day cares, after-school programs, neighborhoods, and churches
throughout the school year.
In 2001, The Supreme Court ruled that Good News Clubs could
meet in public schools after school hours on the same terms as other community groups. Since then, God has been using churches
to "adopt" schools and provide the funding and volunteers to run Good News Clubs. The churches are now able to work
alongside the schools and teach the children biblical principals. These teachings will make a difference in the child's life
not only at school, but also at home. If your church is interested in becoming a part of this exciting ministry,
or you would like to help out in an existing club, please contact us at Florence@cef-sc.org
