I am second. It's not just a phrase or a theme - it is a lifestyle.
Of course, you have heard, "Jesus first, others second, and self last."
But can you really place Jesus first if others are second? Jesus said, "When you have done (anything) to the least of
all people, you have done it to me." So in essence to serve others is to serve Jesus. Our worship belongs to Him
but the service of our worship is lavished in the lives of others - as unto Him.
We magnify our worship by serving others the message of the cross and seeing
those lost souls become worshippers too. We witness a miracle as we serve His message of salvation to others and
He draws them to a greater concert of worship.
This summer you can choose to be second.
1) Pray asking God to help you become second. Choose to make Him first.
2) Consider missions with CEF, your church, or some other way to serve His
Gospel.
3) Believe that God will supply everything you need to become second by
serving others, and in turn, worshipping Him.
4) Obey.
When you choose to say, "I am second", you choose to become who you were
created to be.
