Each year, a very special group of young people come together during the summer months
for the purpose of reaching children throughout Spartanburg, Cherokee, Laurens, and Union Counties with the Good News of Jesus
Christ. What makes them so special? This group is willing to sacrifice better paying jobs, summer relaxation and
fun, vacation trips and more exotic surroundings in exchange for opportunities to go into day cares, recreation centers, apartment
complexes, housing authority sites, and neighborhoods of varying economic levels. Many of them will go into areas most
adults would never go! They work tirelessly and enthusiastically as they share the gospel with children. This
is why these young people are so special!
Our summer missionaries must:
- Want to reach others for Christ
- Love a challenge
- Be willing to give a minimum of six weeks
- Want to make a difference
- Be age 15 through college age
